Another record year for Air Canada in 2017

Pour partager cette publication :

2016 was a record year for Air Canada with operating revenues of $ 14,677 million and operating income of $ 1,345 billion. Based on passenger data provided by the airports of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, and considering Air Canada’s financial performance for the first three quarters, 2017 should be another record year. Since Air Canada is the dominant carrier in each of these three airports, there is a direct relationship between the increase in passenger numbers and the financial growth experienced by Air Canada.

Air Canada should therefore end 2017 with an increase in operating revenues of at least $ 1,100 million, which is equivalent to a 7.5% increase to $ 15,777 million. Operating profits should follow with a proportional increase of $ 100 million to $ 1,445 million.
